Stephanie Smith, Veterinarian
Dr. Smith joined the team at Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic in March 2013. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Boston University in 1997. She then worked as a veterinary technician for several years at a small animal veterinary hospital in Newton, MA before attending veterinary school. Dr. Smith graduated from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009, where she received the Academic Excellence Award. She previously practiced at Pittsfield Veterinary Hospital in MA and Animal Health Center in Clifton Park before starting at Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic.
Dr. Smith enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, but has a particular interest in geriatric medicine and dentistry. Having owned several geriatric dogs herself, she appreciates the special needs of those patients. She has completed continuing education in dentistry by attending the Veterinary Dental Forum in November 2011 and an intensive 2 day course at the highly esteemed Animal Dental Training Center in Baltimore, MD in January 2014.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time her husband and two children, exploring the outdoors.
