Amanda H., Credentialed Veterinary Technician
I graduated high school and had no idea what I was going to do with my life. I went to a community college for a year and was not happy. After doing some research, I found a school called Carrington College. I majored in Veterinary Technology and graduated in 2016.
I knew forever that I wanted to work with animals. But it's wasn't until I lost my childhood dog, Catie, to cancer that I 100% knew I needed to work with animals to make sure dogs like her had lots of people to love them. I'm extremely happy with the decision I made to become a technician and wouldn't change it for the world. I have now found my home in VCA Animal Care Center. I love it here. We have grown and changed so much since February when I started and I'm glad I got to be a part of it.
