Janet Houser, Medical Director

A native Phoenician, she attended the University of Arizona for under graduate studies and then obtained her veterinary degree from Colorado State University. VCA Phoenix West Animal Hospital has been her "home" for 37 years. She took the role of Medical Director in 2018. Her husband, Dr. Scott Houser, is a large animal veterinarian who works with horses, goats, and zoo animals. They have two grown children and two grandchildren. She has raised seven guide dog puppies and now has "Jack", a black Labrador Retriever, who is an Ambassador for Guide Dogs of the Desert.
