She was inducted into the Phi Zeta organization in veterinary school due to being in the top 25% of her class. During veterinary school, she took part in acupuncture research through their summer scholars program, she became Fear Free certified in December 2018, and she attended the Chi Institute in Florida during her clinical year to study acupuncture and become CVA (certified veterinary acupuncturist) certified. Her main veterinary interests include clinical pathology, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, dentistry, acupuncture, and rehabilitation.

During her downtime, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Aric, and their two cats and two dogs. She also enjoys being physically active and working out with the tone it up program doing yoga, Pilates, and strength training. She loves to cook and watch her all-time favorite TV show, Friends!
