Melissa Suarez, Veterinarian

Dr. Melissa Suarez received her DVM from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She had also previously obtained a Bachelor of Science with a focus in Animal Science from LSU Agricultural and Mechanical College in 1999. She is a native from Laplace, Louisiana, a small community located just outside of New Orleans. After graduating in 2005, she practiced three years in North Las Vegas, NV, and then moved closer to home with her growing family to Allen, Texas in 2008. She has been practicing in Texas ever since and enjoys free time with her husband, three children and two dogs.

Dr. Suarez has great compassion for all of her patients. She enjoys all aspects of canine and feline medicine and surgery with a particular interest in challenging internal medicine cases, pain management, preventative medicine and ultrasonography. She is also skilled in soft tissue surgery using blade and CO2 laser procedures. She is an active and proud member of several national and local veterinary associations. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys reading, cooking, being a mother to three beautiful children, spending time with family and enjoying the company of her dogs, Gumbo and Beignet.
